Fundraising for St. Augustine's Church

We are currently raising funds for a major overhaul of the churches wiring. This includes the new lighting scheme, which has been designed to accentuate the architectural features of the building and of our liturgical practice. Following a period of adjustment and fine-tuning, our new lighting scheme is now up and running, to glorious effect.

The project is costing £60,000 and we plan to raise this amount over three years.

In 2010 we organised the following three activities:

• In June 2010, we held a Birmingham Choral Union Concert in St. Augustine's, with all the profits being donated to the project.
• July 2010 saw the Church Fete and the West Midlands Fire Service Band Concert, which again increased our fundraising total.
• Part of the Birmingham Early Music Festival took place in our Church during October 2010. As before, all profits went towards the project.
